Disposable Pool that is Great Fun
We've owned a few of these pools now, this 15' model and the Metal Frame Pool - 12'x36" model. It's been wonderful to have with the kids during the summertime but once summer is done forget about using this pool for next season because it's impossible to clean and put away.

I kidded myself when we bought it that at the end of the season it would be a snap to take it down and store it. There is just no way. At the end of the season I end up trying to clean it up and store it but it's so disgusting with all the mildew that grows underneath and is just so large and impossible to clean it ends up in the landfill which is just horrible. I've just resigned myself to this being a disposable pool and to myself being a horrible person for adding so much plastic to our landfill.

On the positive side, the pool is definitely a lot of fun. Once you get the hang of chemicals and cleaning it's pretty easy to maintain. Since the volume of water is low it's not much effort to keep the chemicals in balance. The kids love it and my wife and I love it too. It's perfect size (and the 12' framed one is even better) for having the little ones. Pool parties are fun too.

Without this kind of pool we just wouldn't have one because a permanent above ground pool is just not a financial priority. You can buy 20 of these for the price of the permanent one. We'll wait until the kids are older and we have the money. I've sold my soul putting these in the landfill (can you sense the guilt here?) and you can too.

Durability: 1 star for it being disposable and easy to tear/puncture.
Fun: 5 stars for sure. It's definitely all about the fun.
Educational: 3 stars. I guess they are learning to swim and overcome fear of the water so that's kinda educational.
Overall: 3 stars (9 stars / 3 categories).

Had this pool for 3 seasons
Had to throw it away after last summer. The inflatable ring had broken down over the years from the heat which caused many holes. Inflatable ring, not very durable. Pump that came with it was not powerful enough to to keep up with the demand. My family of 5 were the only ones to use and the water had a constant chemical imbalance no matter what I did to it. We often had to run the pump overnight, and we had to constantly sweep the bottom of the pool because the dirt would settle to the bottom. It would constantly leak and we never did figure out were it was leaking from, probably from the seams. This is a design that needs to go back to the drawing board!! I did get three years out of it, but was hoping for at least 5!

Spent my summer cleaning the Pool
First, the setup of the pool was fairly easy. Leveling the ground is very important. That was the only easy part of owning this pool. The upkeep and maintenance has been a nightmare. The pumping system is not able to clean the pool and does not move the water enough. Even running the pump 24 hours a day does not help. I have had to add chemicals daily and still not able to maintain water quality. The vacuuming system also falls very short of being satisfactory. The combination of a weak pumping system and poor vacuum system leaves you not in the pool swimming but trying to clean the pool as best you can.
